Floral Arrangements for Senior Citizens

HELLO ALL! Thank you for volunteering on this fun project. AFTER THE KICKOFF, we shall meet at the LOWER BUILDINGS by the Orangevale Community Center.

We will be in BUILDING 2, BEHIND the ORANGEVALE HISTORY MUSEUM. The address to the museum is 6920 Hazel Avenue. Enter the driveway on the North side of the Museum. There is plenty of parking behind. OR You can enter by coming from the upper Orangevale Community Center located at 6826 Hazel Avenue and driving from their front parking lot DOWN the north sloping road (look by the Rail Cars at the end of the parking lot) that leads down to the Orangevale History Museum parking lots. Once down in the lower level parking, Look for BUILDING 2.

The day starts off:

ARRIVE 7:30 a.m. at the Bella Vista High School football stadium (8301 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks). At the rally, you will Pick up your volunteer shirts and then enjoy the rally. The rally SHOULD END APPROX 9:30ish. We will head directly to the BUILDING #2 at the Orangevale Community Center to start the project. (These are the buildings in the LOWER section of the Community Center, down by the Orangevale History Museum). If you arrive at the project site, and I am not there, please grab a seat and wait.

This project is a FUN and relatively QUICK project. You can go as FAST or SLOW as you wish in building your Mason Jar Flower Arrangements. But I recommend taking your time and enjoying your flower builds.

JUST ONE RULE....make them SHORT. These flowers are set on the bedside tables of the elderly in local nursing and care homes. They knock them over EASILY. So, keeping them LOW helps minimize future accidents by the recipients. Try NOT to make tall flower arrangements.
